Looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and focused individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as, excels in time management, multi-tasking, and a faster paced environment. This employee will need to manage all front desk operations including but not limited to phones, scheduling, insurance verifications, faxing/scanning, quality assurance, cleaning/sanitizing, assisting with laundry, and patient aide work as appropriate.
Location: 1095 Pingree Rd, Suite 209, Crystal Lake IL 60014
Position Type: Part Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1-2 evenings until 6:15-7pm
Compensation: Hourly Rate - $19.00 - $21.00/hour based on experience
When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

- Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
- Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
- Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
- Regular communication with parties such as therapists, insurance companies, attorney offices, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 Year of Front Desk Experienc
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and patients
- Ability to multi-task phone, computer, and in-person interactions
- Ability to use computer scheduling software (with appropriate training)
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
- Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) and mouse use throughout a work day/shift
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
- Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
