Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
The Crisis Response Provider - Rely will provide a range of responsive crisis assessments, immediate interventions, and case management services to individuals and families served by Aspire Indiana Health. They will promote collaborative working relationships with both internal and community partners. This position must be flexible in providing crisis services via video conference, telephonically, and in-person at Rely. Full-time and part-time options available. The Rely Center is "A Safe Place for Help" which includes a Psychiatric Urgent Care for all ages and an adult 23 hour stabilization unit. The Rely Center team is for individuals who have a passion for and are comfortable working in fast-paced environments, assisting individuals in mental health and/or substance use crises, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Respond in a timely manner to all requests for crisis intervention that are immediate in nature
- Triage phone calls and route appropriately based on needs and preliminary risk assessments
- Provide comprehensive crisis counseling and safety planning for clients in need
- Serve as a resource for Aspire staff, as well as, external stakeholders in the identification and application of criteria for inpatient treatment
- Coordinate referrals to Aspire treatment services as well as to external resources/services
- Monitor bed availability in Rely
Education/Experience
OBHP
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, public health or related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required or
- One (1) year of equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of community resources, referral processes and risk assessments preferred
- Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model preferred
- May self-identify as a current or former recipient of services, and/or a family member of an individual who was a recipient of services, and be maintaining a healthy recovery from mental illness and/or substance use to qualify for the peer track
QBHP - Master’s Level
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other mental health related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
- Knowledge of community resources, referral processes and risk assessments required
- Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model required
- May self-identify as a current or former recipient of services, and/or a family member of an individual who was a recipient of services, and be maintaining a healthy recovery from mental illness and/or substance use to qualify for the peer track
Other Requirements
- Ability to be flexible and work assigned shift for 24/7 coverage
- Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to attend trainings and/or meetings off-site
