RN Case Manager you'll advocate for patients while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary health care partners, facilities and families to ensure the best possible care experience from admission through discharge and beyond by connecting patients to resources that help them maintain and build on positive outcomes.
In the role of RN Case Manager, you will also:
- Utilize clinical expertise, discretion, and independent judgment in assessing/reassessing, facilitating care coordination, utilization management, and patient advocacy.
- Assure medical appropriateness criteria are met for status and level of care.
Schedule (time, day requirements, etc.): This position will be weekends only with the flexibility to work during the week for sick calls
Physical Location of position: Ortho Colorado Hospital 3rd Floor
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- RN License in Applicable State of Employment required
- 1 year of nursing or case management experience required.
- Experience working with EMR preferred.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards strongly preferred.
- BLS from the American Heart Association, required

At OrthoColorado Hospital , our Ortho unit has 42 beds that are med/surg/tele. We also have six beds that are considered Progressive Care (PCU). Our volume is typically low on the weekends and holidays, averaging two to six patients. During the week our volume is between 24-30 patients. We specialize in orthopedic surgery concentrating on joint replacement and spine surgeries. We are exclusively an elective orthopedic surgery hospital and do not get overflow from other areas. Our mission is to provide a five-star customer service experience through a culture focused on safety, quality and service. We pride ourselves on the teamwork that our unit is known for.
