Job Overview
The Staffing Coordinator perform centralized scheduling and staffing requirements for inpatient hospital nursing units and house supervisors, and tracks/maintains various staff records and logs.
This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $29.96 - $42.30 per hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and coordinates master schedules and staffing needs for the inpatient nursing units and House Supervisors.
- Communicates with administration, unit managers, house supervisors, and charge nurses regarding census and acuity based staffing needs.
- Contacts in-house staff and nursing registries to fill open shift requests.
- Provides for family stay needs related to admissions during after-hours when a nurse manager or house supervisor is not available.
- Triages house supervisor calls and refers to appropriate source in absence of a nurse manager or house supervisor.
- Complies with Title XXII/OSHA/Joint Commission and SHCNC policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates responsibility for ongoing personal development and growth.
- Uses principles of time management and priority setting in the activity of unit staff.
- Demonstrates the ability to professionally interact and communicate appropriately with staff, patients, families, and visitors.
