Position Summary
Ice Crew members are part of a professional, high-energy team responsible for maintaining the ice surface before, during, and after events. Candidates should have strong skating skills and an interest in hockey and ice maintenance operation.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.11 - $19.06 (Per CBA).
Benefits as per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until December 31, 2025.

The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleventh-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Responsibilities
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work and arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to work
- Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to take both verbal and written direction
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Assist in quick changes, which include the construction/deconstruction of the penalty and player boxes
- Change out broken hockey glass during games
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, skate, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with ice maintenance tasks
- Ability to skate and remove snow during media timeouts
- Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
- Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- All other tasks assigned by Manager
Qualifications
- Experience working in an ice rink setting preferred
- Comfortable in front of large crowds
- Proficient ice-skating
