Job Description
As a Dining Room Attendant, you will play a key role in creating an outstanding dining experience by delivering prompt, efficient, and professional service, ensuring that every guest receives the highest level of hospitality and care in the dining room
Responsibilities
- Have a thorough knowledge of service times, the menu, floor plan, table numbers, and seat assignments.
- Verify the accuracy of orders on tickets and match them with items on the cold and hot lines.
- Deliver food to the correct tables based on ticket details, the floor plan, and seat numbers.
- Always check with guests to ensure they don’t need additional service and inform the server or manager as needed.
- Set up the expo line with required items according to the side work list.
- Consult with the supervisor regarding any issues with food delivery.
- Minimize breakage and handle all equipment with care.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
- Set up and break down the breakfast buffet within the designated time frame.
- Ensure the breakfast buffet remains fully stocked, clean, and presentable throughout service.
- Secure breakfast items such as platters, butter dishes, and bread knives as directed by the manager or posted in the side work.
- Place and receive daily warehouse orders and ensure par levels of products are maintained.
- Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure all products are within date and properly stored.
- Be aware of exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions, food and beverage, and cleaning chemicals.
- This is a tipped position.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a food runner or in a similar Dining Room Attendant (DRA) role preferred.
- Experience in selling and presenting wine is required.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and performance at all times.
- Must hold valid Food Handler and TABC certifications.
- Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, throughout an entire work shift, in both indoor and outdoor environments.
