Role: Resident Assistant (RA) / Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
As a vital member of our Wellness team, you’ll provide compassionate care and personal assistance to residents, helping them maintain the highest possible level of independence and overall well-being. You’ll not only support daily living needs but also build meaningful connections that make a difference every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trust and companionship with residents through respectful, compassionate interaction.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including ambulation, transferring, bathing/showering, personal hygiene, incontinence care, feeding, reminders, and supervision.
- Encourage and assist residents in both group and one-on-one activities.
- Serve meals and assist with after-meal clean-up.
- Maintain clean, organized resident rooms; complete laundry as assigned.
- Monitor for changes in residents’ condition — physical, cognitive, or emotional — and promptly report concerns to the Wellness Director.
- Follow all safety procedures, including infection control, fire protection, and hazardous waste guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, and volunteers.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide post-mortem care as instructed.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and compliance activities.

Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 lbs and move quickly in emergency situations.
- Commitment to providing a safe, supportive environment for all.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LNA certification preferred — but not required.
- In-house training with a competency sign-off can be provided to waive the LNA requirement.
- Prior experience working with seniors.
- Previous work in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
Education & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent — or current high school student.
- Minimum age: 16.
- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements: background check, drug screen, TB test, and physical.
