Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nursing Assistant at Dignity Health-Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You’re diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well. - Conduct hourly rounds on approximately 8 to 10 patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed.
- Collaborates with RN in implementation of plan.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living according to standards of care and hospital protocol.
- Reports significant observed or reported alterations in the patient condition.
- Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate
- Documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
Preferred
- 1 to 3 years Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting
- AZ CNA License
