As a Hospital Security Officer, You Will:
- Be a Guardian of Safety:Respond promptly and prudently to calls for assistance, addressing incidents involving unruly individuals, crimes, and emergency codes.
- Maintain Order & De-escalate:Intervene and control security incidents, effectively de-escalating situations, and utilizing approved techniques, including 'Use of Force' and citizen's arrest, when necessary and legally permissible.
- Vigilant Patrols:Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of facilities and grounds, monitor security alarms, and report unsafe acts or conditions.
- Utilize Technology:Effectively operate and manage security equipment and IT applications such as radios, badge access systems, and camera systems.
- Professional Presence:Project a high level of professionalism and integrity, integrating seamlessly with clinical care teams to assist with patient movement and restraint when requested.
- Respond & Report:Demonstrate strong knowledge of emergency procedures, investigate security breaches, and meticulously document incidents, including HIPAA breaches.

Job Requirements
Required Experience:
- Six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, OR
- Prior law enforcement or military service, OR
- One (1) year of general security officer experience.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent, OR
- Three (3) years of experience as a security officer (in lieu of a high school diploma/GED).
