What You'll Be Doing
Main fuctions: Evaluate and develop clinical competency of nursing staff, providing staff education, assuring regulatory compliance, and improving patient, staff and physician satisfaction in collaboration and consultation with the Medical Director, the Chief Nursing Officer and Nurse Manager. Accountable for planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating all aspects of the delivery of patient care for the adult patient. Accountable for clinical quality, project management design and execution. Serves in supervisory capacity in absence of Nurse Manager. Effectively recommends staff actions for remedial assistance, discipline and/or growth or promotional opportunities based on assessment of clinical, technical and professional competencies.

Education/Skills:Master’s degree in nursing (preferred), Either in Nursing Education or Advance Practice Acute Care Nursing
Counseling/advising skills; Decision-making and problem solving skills; Interpersonal/human relations skills ; Ability to maintain confidentiality ; Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories; Knowledge of health education theory and practice; Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards; Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures; Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in critical care; Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements; Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; Knowledge of principles and techniques of education.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Work Experience: Minimum three years experience of relevant work experience. Five to seven years preferred. Previous experience as Clinical Nurse Specialist, Educator or Advanced Practice Nurse (Preferred). Management or leadership experience (preferred).
