Job Summary and Responsibilities
- The Supervisor of Security primary objective will be to maintain a safe, secure and threat free environment. The Supervisor shall assist with providing a framework for the successful implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive security program.
Is responsible for managing and directing Security personnel on assigned shifts. - Ensures that security personnel perform their assigned duties related to ensuring the security and safety of patients, visitors and hospital staff.
- The Supervisor will assist with design, development and coordination of activities of the Security staff in protecting the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
- Assist with the Development and implementation of the Security Management Plan and assists with managing and coordinating responses to critical incidents. Reviews and addresses identified actual and potential security breaches. Helps implement security awareness programs.
- One (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive contact and or law enforcement and military security experience in a leadership capacity.
- CA Guard Card
- CA Driver's License
- BLS from AHA within 90 days
- Familiar with Joint Commission, Knowledge of Environment o Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and OSHA regulations and standards.
- Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment.
- Has completed ICS 100, 200, and 700 training or will so within days of employment.
Preferred
- International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) Basic Advanced courses within 90 days of position appointment and IAHSS Supervisor course within six months of position appointment.
