Job Summary
Position: Service Line Coordinator
Job summary: The Service Line Coordinator supports the operational efficiency and patient experience for a designated specialty. This role coordinates scheduling, manages patient flow, supports providers, and ensures adherence to protocols. The coordinator acts as a liaison between clinical teams, patients, and administrative staff, facilitating communication and resolving issues. Additional responsibilities include data tracking, supporting quality initiatives, and assisting with regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily clinic operations and patient scheduling
- Ensure timely follow-up on test results and care coordination
- Support providers with administrative and clinical needs
- Track and report on key performance and quality metrics
- Facilitate multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences
- Assist with prior authorizations and insurance documentation
- Identify and resolve patient care gaps
- KPIs:
- Patient throughput (number of patients seen per clinic/session)
- Test result follow-up within 48 hours
- Appointment scheduling accuracy and timeliness
- Patient no-show rate (<15%)
- Quality metric compliance (e.g., screening completion rates)
- Provider and patient satisfaction scores

Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
Clinical certification/licensure (if applicable to the specialty) may be preferred or required.
Experience:
2–4 years of experience in healthcare administration, care coordination, or clinical support roles.
Prior experience in a specialty setting (specific to the service line) strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Working knowledge of EMR systems (e.g., Epic).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Ability to coordinate across departments and providers.
Familiarity with appointment scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorization
