Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a General Manager 2 to lead dining services at UMaine Machias, a small state university featuring one resident dining facility, one retail operation, and catering services. This role works closely with five sister campuses throughout Maine, with a strong focus on sustainability and sourcing local foods. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dining operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious, and sustainable meals that support student well-being and academic success.

What You'll Do
Lead and manage all daily dining operations, including resident dining, retail, and catering services, ensuring exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop dining services staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing team
Oversee food preparation and service with a focus on nutrition, sustainability, and locally sourced ingredients aligned with university values
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a safe and clean dining environment
Collaborate with university departments and sister campuses to coordinate dining services for campus events and special programs
Manage operational budgets, control food and labor costs, and maximize efficiency while maintaining quality service
Promote sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, recycling, and support for local food systems
Create a welcoming and inclusive dining atmosphere that enhances the student experience and supports community engagement
Monitor customer feedback and implement continuous improvements in service and operations
