Responsibilities
Join our innovative California workers' compensation insurance team as an entry-level Data Analytics Engineer. This role focuses on creating automations and operational efficiencies to support strategic and transformational initiatives. Working within our small, flat organization, you'll collaborate directly with department leaders and technical experts to implement data-driven solutions that enhance capacity across all team members.
Key functions include but are not limited to:
- Design and implement automated workflows to streamline operational processes across multiple departments
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines for specialized insurance datasets
- Create Power BI dashboards
- Develop automated reporting systems for compliance requirements
- Assistant the data science team with model creation, design, and maintenance
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and implement automation opportunities
- Improve existing data processing and analysis workflows
This role will be based in our Irvine, CA office. We offer a hybrid work schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- Intermediate/ advanced programming knowledge (Python, SQL, or similar languages)
- Experience with Git
- Basic commercial insurance knowledge
- Worker’s compensation data structure experience a plus
