Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
The Director of Addictions Treatment Services will provide leadership, direction, and development of clinical functions, programs, and services in the areas of substance use and addictions while advancing and supporting Aspire’s Mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. This position represents Aspire in the community by fostering relationships with existing and potential partners and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight of addictions treatment services across the Whole Health Recovery continuum
- Effective collaboration with Addictions Services leadership team in regards to curriculum development, programming and delivery
- Partnership in incorporating evidence based practices and programming in the continuum of care
- Accountable for identified metrics, data monitoring, staffing, compliance and quality (in collaboration with other departments.)
This position influences all of Aspire’s substance use and addiction treatment continuum, ensuring that we approach each individual from a “whole health” paradigm.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a directly-related human service field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
- Five (5) years related addictions treatment work experience, and at least three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity required
- Experience in SUD residential or recovery housing, a plus
- Experience with Indiana Medicaid, MRO and Recovery Works, a plus
- Experience building community partnerships is a plus
- Personal or life experience interacting with substance use disorder, the recovery community, and the 12 step model highly preferred
Licensure
- Recognized as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Indiana
- Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, preferred

- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting

- Must be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and the ability to problem solve and utilize critical thinking skills
- Must be able to demonstrate the effective use of Aspire’s Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
- Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
- Must have reliable transportation to oversee programming and/or attend trainings and/or meetings
