Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
· First point of contact for employees with complaints/concerns when they come to the HR office.
· Assist employees in resolving their issues or direct them to the proper area.
· Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues.
· Consult and advise managers in interpreting and applying policies and procedures to resolve issues.
· Build and help maintain a collaborative working relationship with employees, supervisors, area leads and managers.
· Conducts employee investigations, assists with employee grievances, and maintains all appropriate correspondence with employees.
· Meet new employees on their first day onboard.
· Schedule and conduct at 30-day review with the new employee to see what is going well, and any suggestions for improvement regarding on-boarding process
· Monitor suggestions from the suggestion box. Communicate findings and make recommendations to HR Supervisor.
· Conduct exit interviews.. Conduct employee surveys semiannually.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in human resources management or related field.
2. (3) Three to (5) five years of experience as an ER Specialist Generalist with emphasis on employee/labor relations, preferably in a Healthcare/Hospital setting.
3. Experience coaching and influencing managers and employees and conflict resolutions.
4. Knowledge of FLSA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, OSHA, CAL/OSHA and other HR related regulations.
5. Must have strong communication and intrapersonal skills.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $40.96 to $40.96. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
