Overview
We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN. The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department.
Bonus Options: Up to a $20,000

Hours: 12hr shifts – 7:00pm to 7:00am

Responsibilities
If you have experience as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Cardiac Care, Telemetry or Emergency Department, you are encouraged to apply!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Assess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions
- Provide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain
- In cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care
- Manage high-stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
