Physical Therapist Assistant
As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will administers therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities to assist patient in healing and return to their daily living activities.

CHI St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital is located Navasota TX and is a 25 bed critical access hospital. Our Medical Unit consists of 18 beds & has a phenomenal leadership team & great overall culture!
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by a supervising physical therapist; assist physical therapists in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.

Position will float to our 3 Critical Access Hospitals: Navasota, Caldwell and Madisonville (Primarily Navasota and Caldwell)
- Instructs, motivates and Assists patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre-ambulation, transfer, ambulation and daily living activities
- Assesses, and compiles data on patients’ responses to treatments
- Fit patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices
- Encourages the active participation of the patient and/or family in goal setting and patient/family training/education
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree; Major in Kinesiology/Applied Science or other Physical Therapy related field
- Licensed by the State of Texas- Physical Therapist Assistant
- BLS CPR certified, American Heart Association

- Effective Communication
- Knowledge of the principles and skills of the clinical process to provide patient care and treatment.

- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
