Overview
Pricing Specialists are responsible for providing data analytic support to the Pricing Analysts, Pricing Manager, and VP of Pricing & Traffic.
Responsibilities
- Accurately log and distribute RFP’s
- Review and complete RFI’s from shippers and 3PL’s
- Analyze shipment data sets and complete initial setup for cost analysis
- Prepare reports that show margins, revenue, costs, and pricing comparisons
- Provide administrative support to the Pricing Department
- Assist the VP of Pricing and Pricing Manager with special projects
- Verify rate accuracy by auditing pricing post entry and ensuring compliance with published tariffs
- Log key metrics post publication
- Support the analysis of customer profitability, yield, and lane performance by compiling reports and data sets
- Continuously improve processes
Qualifications
- Strong Excel / Data handling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Fluent in MS Office programs
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Omni)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in transportation or logistics is preferred but not required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluent in English
