Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety review, CPR, and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. Employees must successfully pass clinical math exam prior to orientation to unit. In addition to these major responsibilities, the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.
This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of MedSurg/Tele experience required
- California Registered Nurse License required
- Current BLS and ACLS from the AHA required
- NIHSS Stroke Certification
- One (1) year of experience as an acute care nurse
- Nursing Assessment and Planning
- Implementation and Evaluation of Patient Care
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
