Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking an Outpatient Pediatric Dietitian for the Childhood Healthy Eating and Active Living Center (C-HEAL), located at the Kennedy Outpatient Center and on the Erlanger East Campus in Chattanooga, TN. The C-HEAL Center offers services for children who do not respond to early intervention efforts or require long-term care management for co-morbidities related to being overweight or obese. This position serves as the co-coordinator of the C-HEAL program and performs job tasks related to accreditation.
This position is Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays, and is open to new graduates or experienced dietitians.

What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive nutrition evaluations and consultations to pediatric patients and their families using motivational interviewing and counselling skills
- Assist with program development, promotion/marketing, screenings, and patient recruitment
- Assists with departmental program evaluation and outcome measurement activities
- Provide education on healthy eating, physical activity, diabetes and hyperlipidemia
- Update and create educational handouts

What You Bring
- Registered Dietitian or eligible, with experience or a strong interest in working with pediatric patients
- Have the ability to creatively problem-solve and make decisions while working independently within a team-oriented work environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Strong comprehension of the principles of clinical nutrition practice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills/organization and be a self-starter and team player
- The ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
