Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The incumbent is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other health care team members. The incumbent, as a member of the health care team appropriately assists team members in providing holistic care to patients and their support systems with an awareness of cost containment and time management. The incumbent will float to multiple units within the hospital, possibly multiple times per shift based upon the incumbent's skills and competencies as determined by the Nursing Supervisor or the Staffing Office.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of consecutive recent (within the last 5 years) ED and/or ICU experience. Will train when operational considerations allow.
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Ability to work in diverse areas
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC. NRP and TNCC due within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Verbal and written communication and computer skills
- BLS, ACLS and basic dysrhythmia required. Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required
