To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service. Developing and maintains excellent physician and associate relations, accountable for the quality of patient care provided by the nursing service. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all functions of the service to include quality, administrative, and financial outcomes.
Oversees the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service and the nursing professional practice as a whole. Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies. May provide leadership over other departments that collaborate with nursing for care of the patients served.
This role provides leadership to our Inpatient, ICU, ED, and Infusion Theapy units.
Job Requirements

Education required:
- Experience in acute care preferred.
A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN).
A master’s degree is required within 2 years of hire.
Experience required:
- 4 years progressive clinical leadership experience required; 5 years preferred.
- 2 years RN clinical experience in hospital setting
License/Certifications Required:
- Active and unencumbered RN license to practice in Kansas
- Nursing Specialty Certification- Required Sit within 6 months; Must achieve within 1 year of hire or transfer to the role.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS through AHA)
Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
