Job Summary
Position Title: Pain Management Physician (Interventional)
Job Summary: Essen is looking for a Pain Management Specialist who evaluates pain and treats a wide range of pain problems. The pain management Doctor treats chronic and sudden pain ailments such as long-lasting, chronic, pain such as low back pain and neck pain. Assess and treat patients in accordance with best practice standards and all applicable regulatory standards and provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients in accordance with best practice standards and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.
- Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions.
- Evaluate patients' hisotry and determine what procedures are beneficaial using comrehensive pain modalities including physical therapy and medications
- Identify the source of a patient’s pain,and conduct specialized tests, prescribe medication, and may perform surgery or a procedure for a patient
- Participate in team meetings, educational events and clinic social events
Qualifications
- MD
- In-depth knowledge of pain disorders
- Ability to evaluate patients with difficult pain disorders
- Appropriate prescribing of medications for pain problems
- An ability to use different diagnostic tests to pinpoint the cause of pain
- Skill with procedures (nerve blocks, fluoroscopic-guided spinal injections, RFA, Ultrasound guided injections,
- Treatment that is in line with a patient’s wishes and belief system
Salary: $220,000-$280,000
