Position Summary
The Event Staff primary function is to use knowledge of the building and its services to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the building patrons entering the facility.
This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$16.00

The Thief River Falls Complex is a multi-venue complex in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. The complex includes the Ralph Engelstad Arena, Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center, the Multi Events Center, and the Thief River Falls Tourist Park.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive and enjoyable environment with positive attitude for all guests attending an event.
- Responsibilities may include ticket scanning, ticket taking, partial security screening, guest questions, responding to incidents on venue property, directing guests to seating locations, etc.
- Ensure all guests are following venue, act, or promoter specific rules and regulations.
- Provide assistance to patrons with special needs or wheelchair access.
- Direct guests in a variety of situations including emergencies.
- Monitor and report any potential unsafe situations to direct supervisor.
- Hand out flyers or other promotional items.
- Find opportunities to improve the guest experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Employee must be at least 18 years old.
- High School diploma or GED (or any equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work shifts including nights, weekends and holidays dependent on events schedule.
- Stand and walk for four to six hours at a time.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment.
