Position Summary
The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.

Located in the heart of Cumberland County, the Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art, five-venue complex comprised of a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space and a 2,440-seat theatre.
The Crown Complex is home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL) and hosts a variety of other sporting events, family shows, concerts and special productions year-round.
Responsibilities
- Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
- Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
- Conducts building safety inspections (Normally pre-event and post event safety checks).
- Follow all established security procedures.
- Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
- Protects equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
- Provides regular security functions within the Complex and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.
- Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete CC deputy uniform.
- Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty, when applicable.
- When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
- Must be an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy.
- Able to work events as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
- Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
