Position Summary
This position is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and contract labor while on premises; securing property during move in/out trade shows, conventions or events.
This role pays an hourly rate of $9.50 to $11.00.

About the Venue
Flint River Entertainment Complex is owned by the City of Albany and is operated by OVG. Located in Albany, Ga., Flint River Entertainment Complex is comprised of three venues- the Albany Civic Center, Albany Municipal Auditorium and Veterans Park Amphitheatre. Hosting live spectator events, banquet, meetings, trade shows, conference, concerts and more, Flint River Entertainment Complex prides itself on bringing quality entertainment to southwest Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Be in assigned uniform at all times while on duty.
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Attend to your assigned position during the course of the event – DO NOT LEAVE UNLESS YOUARE REPLACED.
- Secure entrance doors, stairwells, lobbies and backstage areas.
- Have knowledge of building layout, including restrooms and exits
- Have knowledge of all rules and regulations for admittance to your area.
- Have knowledge of all authorized credentials.
- Monitor guests and enforce rules.
- Assist in crowd management, seating discrepancies, clearing aisles and settling disputes.
- Inform Supervisor of developing problem.
- Respond in a quick and professional manner to incidents.
- Be aware of all special functions or activities that occur during the event.
- Secures the property including all buildings and doors that should be secured
- Responds to emergency situations
- Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees
- Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises
- Appropriately deals with "unruly" people
- Works independently, and judges and assess situations for immediate response
Qualifications
• High school diploma or G.E.D.• 6 months to 1 year security experience, preferable in a similar environment• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision• Strong customer service skills• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management• Ability to work irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays• Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic• Interact with emergency personnel; provide accurate descriptions and directions• Ability to utilize two-way radios, monitor phones and closed circuit security cameras
