Job Summary
Position title: Clinical Assistant Manager
Job summary: The Clinical Assistant Manager provides oversight and strategic direction for the Clinical Assistant (CA) team, managing the CA Supervisor and supporting Leads and frontline CAs across multiple facilities. This role focuses on monitoring team performance, aligning operations with facility-level and organizational goals, and enhancing provider productivity. The CA Manager is also responsible for maintaining key performance trackers, and leading in-service efforts for staff with performance concerns. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic oversight with hands-on support when needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the CA Supervisor and provide leadership to the broader CA structure, including Leads and Clinical
- Assistants across assigned nursing home sites.
- Monitor team performance and alignment with facility-specific and organizational goals.
- Facilitate onsite staff to obtain consents and perform additional admin tasks that require physical presence in the facility.
- Review provider productivity metrics and collaborate on strategies to improve efficiency and performance.
- Maintain performance trackers for CAs and the Providers who receive support.
- Conduct in-service education and coaching for CAs with documentation or performance issues.
- Support staffing optimization by ensuring appropriate coverage across sites and reallocating resources when needed.
- Delegate or directly manage operational tasks related to new initiatives, pilots, or high-priority projects requiring CA involvement.
- Partner with leadership, providers, and support departments (e.g., credentialing, compliance, training) to ensure operational alignment.
- Identify process gaps, escalate challenges, and propose improvements to support continuous growth and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Medical School Degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence when speaking to clinicians and business leaders
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong organizational skills to give team direction
- Knowledge of care provided in Nursing Homes
- Aware of and complies with E&M Guidelines for Nursing Home Care
- Able to navigate various EHR systems
