Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.
Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.
To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.
- Provides excellent mammography services to patients. Displays competency performing procedures on and communicating with various age groups.
- Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others and use of available radiation protection devices.
- Ensures badges are worn appropriately and readings are available.
- Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate.
- Accurately marks position and orientation on all mammography images. Assures patient information is correct and visible.
- Assures the correct information is on the Mammography Worksheet and is properly scanned into PACS.

- Graduate from an approved Radiological Technology Program and Minimum of five (5) years of imaging technologist experience and three (3) years experience as a mammographer., upon hire
