Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Mammo Technologist at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will perform a variety of specialized technical tasks associated with the operation of x-ray imaging units and related equipment to assist the radiologist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities. The Mammography Technologist is primarily responsible for daily operations of the Mammography sections, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The registered technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. This position supports the mission, vision and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health-Dickinson Medical Center.
- Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
- Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
- Performs essential tasks described in the Radiologic Technologist job description.
- Perform the quality control functions related to mammography.
- Maintain compliance for ACR and Department of Health accreditations.
- Starts IV’s and the injecting of contrast, if applicable.

Job Requirements
Required
- Associate Degree (2 year program) or equivalent.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology.
- Medical Radiographer: North Dakota (MRAD:ND)
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)
- Registered Technologist Mammography (RTM), within 18 - months of start
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
