Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit. Effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized Cardiovascular procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
Schedule: Shifts during the week from 7am - 4:30pm. Additional Call required.
$4.75/hr IR/Cath Lab differential given upon hire.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- 1 year imaging experience, strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree, strongly preferred
- Registered Technologist, ARRT R.T. (R) or RCIS
- Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only).
- Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support through American Heart Association required
Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

The Cardiac Cath Lab at Longmont United Hospital has one coronary procedure room, one interventional radiology procedure room and seven prep/recovery bays. Here, we perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral catheterizations, loop recorders, permanent pacemaker/ internal cardiac defibrillator implants and conduct TEE and cardioversion procedures. We care for Acute Coronary Syndrome patients with STEMI and NSTEMI presentations.
Our department cares for individuals on an outpatient, inpatient, and emergency basis 24/7, 365 days a year. We strive to provide exceptional care to our cardiovascular patient population.
