Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.
- Sets up for patient procedure - including the laboratory and equipment.
- Operates and maintains and trouble shoots programmable stimulators, mapping system and generators for ablation procedures.
- Operates and maintains physiologic data recording system and related computers.
- Utilizes chain of command to notify supervisor of any equipment issues.
- Compiles test results to be forwarded to physician.
- Functions as the following during invasive procedures: Circulating Assistant, Scrub Assistant, Monitoring Assistant.
Minimum:
- High School GED General Studies
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a cardiology technician
