Effective time management and clear communication are key to maintaining high guest service and food safety standards within limited hours, especially during live events at Harrisburg's bustling venue.
Strong organizational abilities, team leadership, and clear communication stand out as vital for success. Additionally, familiarity with food safety protocols and the capacity to handle fast-paced guest interactions help ensure smooth concession operations during busy game days or events at venues like FNB Field.
High visitor volume can strain staffing and inventory management, requiring quick problem-solving to maintain service quality. Handling unexpected personnel issues, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards, and coordinating timely restocking are common hurdles during event surges.
This role uniquely combines leadership over a single concession stand with hands-on operational tasks. Unlike broader stadium roles, it emphasizes direct team training, food safety responsibility, and maintaining cleanliness, all within the part-time framework at a venue known for its sports and live entertainment events.
While a food handler's card is mandatory or must be acquired before starting, Harrisburg often emphasizes updated food safety certifications due to local health regulations. Staying current with these credentials helps meet Pennsylvania's rigorous standards for public food service environments.
Yes, part-time staff at Dallas Convention Center benefit from 401(k) savings plans with matching, which is somewhat rare for similar stadium roles locally. The venue also fosters ongoing recruitment without strict deadlines, encouraging steady career growth within the Oak View Group’s expansive live entertainment network.
With hourly rates between $16.50 and $17.50 plus tips, this position offers competitive wages compared to similar part-time stadium roles in Harrisburg, which often range from $12 to $18. It provides competitive pay and benefits while embedding employees in Harrisburg’s vibrant event scene, appealing to those seeking community-rooted part-time work.
Many assume part-time implies lighter duties, but leads manage full operational accountability, including training, safety compliance, and inventory oversight. The role demands leadership and multitasking akin to full-time positions, especially during high-attendance events, making it a critical job despite the part-time status.
