Job Summary and Responsibilities

This is a remote position.

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a dynamic System Manager to advance pharmacy practice and optimize medication utilization across our vast health system. In this role you'll drive improvements in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and economic performance through strategic EHR deployments, clinical decision support tools, and workflow optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • System Strategy & Standardization: Lead system-wide medication utilization strategies, identify optimization opportunities, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to define and expand clinical programs.
  • Clinical Informatics & Workflow Optimization: Develop and optimize clinical decision support tools and workflows within the EHR, ensuring standardization of medication use in areas like medication reconciliation, stewardship programs, and order set development.
  • Medication Assessment & Research Leadership: Serve as a central liaison for clinical pharmacy research, leading studies and assessments to objectively address medication-related questions and demonstrate pharmacoeconomic impact.
  • Performance Monitoring & Financial Management: Direct enterprise dashboards, measuring success through improved quality metrics, financial performance, patient satisfaction, and EHR/formulary compliance.
  • Communication & Professional Development: Provide progress reports, contribute to enterprise goals, stay current with emerging technologies (e.g., AI, telepharmacy), and engage with national organizations.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or BS with a graduate degree
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of Clinical Pharmacy leadership, or medication utilization related research or equivalent experience in a health system or multiple facility role
  • Experience in development, measurement and publishing and presenting research findings
  • Experience with multi-hospital Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and deployment of Clinical Pharmacy workflows in the EHR
  • MBA or Board certification in a pharmaceutical specialty is preferred
