We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant) to join our team. The MA-C will provide essential clinical and administrative support to our physicians and nursing staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic.
This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care principles. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure), obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor surgical procedures as directed.
- Administering medications as directed by the physician, following all safety protocols.
- Performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment
- Assisting with wound care and dressing changes.
- Educating patients on post-procedure care and medication instructions
- Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent or emergent patient situations.
- Managing patient charts and medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Answering phones, greeting patients, and handling inquiries.
- Performing other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Entering patient data into electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Maintaining inventory of medical supplies and ordering as needed.
- Performing other administrative tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
What we requre:
- Graduation from an accredited medical Assisting program, With Washington State Department of Health medical Assistant - Certified (CM)
- Knowledge of third party payer requirements required.
- Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently, required.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required. skill in using a PC required.
- One year Medical Assistant – Certified experience preferred.
