Our Select Physical Therapy outpatient center in Summerville is seeking a licensed COTA to provide quality patient care. The ideal candidate will work mostly with hand therapy patients. Experience in hand therapy is required. Best practices and evidence-based programs are utilized for individualized patient care. Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
- Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
- Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
- National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
- Must have previous experience working with hand therapy patients
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Valid state driver’s license
