Responsibilities
- Assure all project-related work plans and project-specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are onsite
- Review subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirements
- Inspect work conformance to contract and design documents
- Understand drawings and specifications
- Implement the Three Phase Control System
- Develop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reports
- Use Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner.
- Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents
- Proactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions
- Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documents
- Verify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklists
- Coordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systems
- Document all tests and results
- Coordinate and document completion inspection process
- Manage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents
- Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
- Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- BS OR MS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
- 7 years construction experience; 2 years as QC Manager
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel user
- CMAA Certification preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
