Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required, of an individual assigned to this job. The Transporter performs transportation of patients throughout the hospital. Other duties include but are not limited to; Darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, equipment movement, and front office duties. This performs clerical duties for the Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Transporter should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual medical terminology used in Radiology. The Transporter should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Maneuvers through the hospital as well as the reception area, as well as, outside storage area. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $25.70 to $25.70. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
