What You'll Be Doing
Transportation of inpatients and outpatients to Radiology Department.
- To ensures the safe transport of patients and equipment to and from all patient care areas via stretcher, wheelchair, or ambulatory process.
- Transports patients, on a daily basis, to and from various departments, informing nursing staff of the transport and return, with 100% accuracy of observing safely standards.
- Railing are in upright position.
- Intravenous needle remains in place.
- Monitors supply flow or oxygen as established by the attending nurse.
- Secures patient to transport.
- Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients.
- Receives assignments from electronic system, such as hospital-issued phone, and reports completed assignments. Also receives assignments as needed technical/clinical personnel involved with patient care.
- Upon lifting the patients, with assistance if needed, moves them to wheelchair/stretcher and transport the patient to the assigned examination room.
- Travels to different patient care areas to obtain stretcher/wheelchair for use if unavailable on the floor for scheduled patient pickup.
- Brings all unused stretcher and wheelchairs to a centralized storage location.
- Ensures delivery of excellent customer service resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for department and Hospital.

Every other weekend and all holidays. Varied shifts.
