Job Description
The Maple Hall Cafe Cook will be responsible for preparing food for associates in the Maple Hall Café at the Omni Hotels & Resorts corporate office in Dallas, TX. The goal will be to provide consistent, efficient, personalized and prompt food and beverage service to all associates while ensuring the Omni standards are being met.
This position will work a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6am to 2pm with fluctuations based on business needs.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the AM station is set up for service at least 15 minutes prior to service time Monday-Friday.• Ensure kitchen sanitation is maintained according to health department guidelines.• Required to learn all menu items produced at the hot station.• Complete work assignments to meet the required quantities within the designated time frame.• Handle refrigeration and serving of cold food.• Cook and hold hot food to appropriate internal temperature required by health department.• Produce orders in a timely and efficient manner.• Close the hot station each day with proper storage, dating, and restock for the next day of service.• Assist with prepping and serving on the front line when assigned based on business levels
Qualifications
• Knowledge of food and beverage service and kitchen flow• Demonstrate basic knife skills.• At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.• Ability to multi-task and adhere to kitchen sanitation standards.• Ability to follow standardized recipes.
- The ability to stand 8+ hours per day, ability to lift up to 50lbs.
