Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director on marketing functions to build and establish referrals patterns for the Wound Care Center. Includes but not limited to marketing visits, inservices, and participation in health fairs.
- Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
- Demonstrates an understanding of organizational structure and utilizes appropriate channels of communication.
- Demonstrates responsibility by seeking guidance and clarification when confronted with unfamiliar situations by utilizing appropriate resources and/or chain of command.
- Actively seeks opportunities for career and self-improvement by discussing same with supervisor and attending all required in-service training programs, etc.
- Utilizes community assessment findings to align service delivery with organization's mission and strategic goal achievement.
- Establishes performance standards necessary to measure and evaluate acceptable quantity and quality of care/service results; helps set departmental standards required to accomplish total hospital goals.
- Collaborates with medical staff, members of management team, hospital employees and other providers or agencies to facilitate planning and delivery of services.
- Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in a Wound Care Center environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and exerience in current clinical techniquest and procedures in Wound and Ostomy Care
- CA RN License
- AHA BLS
- Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN)
- Associates in nursing required. Bachelors preferred
