Casa Grande’s Certified Hand Therapist position offers specialized care for upper extremity disorders with a strong emphasis on custom splinting and post-operative rehabilitation. Unlike general physical therapy roles, this job demands advanced hand therapy certification and provides unique mentorship and educational resources, making it ideal for therapists focused on hand rehabilitation.
Candidates should emphasize expertise in custom splint fabrication, post-operative orthopedic care, and evidence-based hand therapy interventions. Demonstrated experience in upper extremity injuries and licensure valid in Arizona strengthens applications, along with proven marketing abilities and CPR certification, which align with local requirements and employer expectations.
Achieving CHT certification significantly enhances credibility and opens doors to advanced roles within hand therapy. It signals specialized knowledge that employers in outpatient and hospital settings value, often leading to higher salaries, mentorship opportunities, and participation in niche programs like research and program development.
Select Medical integrates a nationwide network with over 300 certified hand therapists, offering extensive mentorship and continuing education. Their focus on structured growth, comprehensive benefits, and collaborative hand therapy teams fosters a supportive environment rarely matched by competitors in outpatient therapy services.

Certified Hand Therapists in Casa Grande typically start around $84,000 annually, with Select Medical offering competitive compensation plus up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus and a $350 monthly student loan repayment. Casa Grande and the broader Arizona region have increasing demand for specialized hand therapy professionals due to an aging population and rising outpatient care needs. This trend creates favorable hiring conditions with numerous opportunities for career advancement and cross-clinic collaborations.
Beyond national certification, holding a valid Arizona state occupational therapy license is essential. Select Medical may also expect therapists to maintain CPR certification and a clean driving record to accommodate potential travel between outpatient facilities.
Therapists manage complex upper extremity cases, balancing customized treatment plans with patient education and interdisciplinary communication. Staying current with evolving research while handling a full caseload demands adaptability and strong clinical decision-making skills.
The company organizes events like networking mixers and offers participation in national symposiums, journal clubs, and study groups. These initiatives foster professional interaction, knowledge exchange, and career networking opportunities beyond routine clinical duties.
