Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian for MedStar Harbor Hospital, located in Baltimore, MD. MedStar Harbor Hospital is a private non-profit 150-bed acute care teaching hospital located along the beautiful Patapsco River in South Baltimore. New and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply!
We are looking for a candidate to work Monday through Friday, NO ROUTINE WEEKEND COVERAGE! Rotating holiday coverage, some holidays can be remote coverage.
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal
Three weeks of vacation, eight holidays, and three personal days paid each year
Reimbursement for AND/ASPEN dues, state licensure fees and CDR registration renewal
$300 annually towards CEUs available after 1 year of service
$5,000 annually towards Tuition Reimbursement

What You'll Do
- Provide MNT for a variety of inpatient medical units
- Educate patients regarding nutrition therapy for their acute and/or chronic diseases
- Perform quality improvement initiatives such as peer chart audits and monthly test trays
- Participate in nutrition programming for clinical staff and visitors and occasional community outreach, as well as monthly nutrition in-services to FNS staff
- Assist in precepting Dietetic Interns during clinical rotations

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
