CHI St. Alexius is looking for PRN Operating Room Assistant to join the team!
Are you a proactive and organized individual with a passion for supporting high-quality patient care? St. Alexius Medical Center's Surgical Services department is looking for a dedicated Operating Room Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you'll work closely with our Anesthesia department, Charge Nurses, and OR Manager to ensure our operating rooms are always prepared and efficient. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized environment, directly contributing to smooth surgical procedures and optimal patient experiences.
What you'll do:
- Maintain impeccably clean and stocked Anesthesia rooms.
- Assist Anesthesia care providers, including during open-heart procedures.
- Provide comfort and transport to patients with care and precision.
- Support physicians, patients, families, and staff as needed.
- Collaborate with the Lead CRNA and Charge RN on delegated tasks.
What you'll bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience (6 months at St. Alexius OR preferred).
- Ability to organize assignments and thrive under pressure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (or obtained within 480 hours of hire).
- North Dakota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
