What You'll Be Doing
The Registered Nurse (RN) Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department (ED) to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. The ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the ED. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care.
- The RN assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.
- As an integral member of the health care team, coordinates patient care and communicates and collaborates extensively with the other members of the healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s)
- Communicate with the physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
- The ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrate the ability to use equipment specific to the Emergency Department.
- Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
What We're Looking For
12-hours shift, 7pm to 7:30am, Rotational Weekend Saturday and Sunday
- Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or, ENPC within 1 year of hire.
- A minimum of 8 hours of education every two years in basic trauma assessment intervention and stabilization.
