Job Description
Bob's Steak & Chop House Bussers (Dining Room Attendants) assist servers and restaurant guests promptly, with the clearing and cleaning of tables. This position provides courteous, attentive service to enhance the guest experience in any way possible.
Responsibilities
- Follow, enforce, comply, and adhere to all Omni Louisville Hotel and Bob’s Steak & Chop House rules, policies, procedures, standards, and recipes always.
- Service all guests in the dining room and contribute to a positive, memorable guest experience.
- Properly set up the entire restaurant
- Completely understand and execute bussing standards.
- Completely understand the menu
- Promptly and accurately deliver food and beverages to all sections of the restaurant and bar.
- Be friendly and helpful with all guests. Use surnames whenever possible.
- Comply with food handling standards.
- Inspect one’s station in the restaurant to ensure it is immaculate in both cleanliness and presentation.
- Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work, as well as all other assigned duties by the restaurant manager before checking out/clocking out.
Qualifications
- DRA experience in a fine dining environment is preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests, management, and co-workers, with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, Saturdays, and holidays.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting.
- Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Must have STAR and Food Handlers certifications prior to start date.
