Responsibilities
As a Hospice Cook, You will:
- Prepare and cook patient meals, including special diets, in a sanitary and safe manner
- Cook food in proper quantities based on the daily menu and patient census
- Check and log temperatures for food and refrigerated equipment to ensure safety and compliance
- Serve as first position on the serving line during meal service
- Stock and store food items properly upon delivery
- Follow cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and family information
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- 3 years of cooking in a Health Care, Institutional or Restaurant Food Service
