As a coordinator of housekeeping services, you will help to maintain this high level of service through your outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills and your ability to organize a variety of department activities. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day staff scheduling and work assignments under the direction of the department manager.

  • Collaborate with RN Administrative Supervisor and RN Charge Nurses to plan Environmental Services assignments that support patient flow.

  • Attend bed meetings as needed to coordinate services.

  • Perform general cleaning tasks and conduct regular quality control rounds.

  • Provide office support and training to Environmental Service Technicians.

  • Serve as a resource on department policies and procedures.

  • Represent the Environmental Services department in hospital-wide meetings, such as the Safety Committee.

  • Act as person-in-charge in the absence of formal leadership.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Certified Hospital Environmental Service Technician certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years of hospital experience preferred (shipping/receiving, materials, housekeeping/environmental services or related experience).

SKILLS:

  • Ability to handle the physical and mental demands of a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English and perform math calculations.
  • Knowledge of computers and appropriate software programs required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good interpersonal relations skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and collected in stressful situations.
  • Comprehends and utilizes good body mechanics.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner.

Pay Range

USD $21.88 - USD $31.27 /Hr.
