Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a full-time Diabetes Education Dietitian to join our multi-disciplinary team at Erlanger Endocrinology Center located in Chattanooga, TN. This outpatient position is vital in helping patients in our community lead healthier lives through effective nutritional care. CDCES is preferred but not required.
No weekends, no holidays!

What You'll Do
- Empower clients to achieve life changing goals who are currently experiencing diabetes
- Provide individualized education to clients through evidence-based nutrition care in the specialized area of diabetes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions with overall improvement in clinical outcomes
- Provide professional staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families
- Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance within the department
- Work toward obtaining CDCES

What You Bring
- Registered Dietitian licensed in Tennessee
- Experience in education on diabetes management, strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members
- Proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition
- Commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
