Role Overview
Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Operations Manager 2 to join our team supporting one of our high-profile Energy Sector clients in Richmond, CA. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience managing complex building systems such as chillers, building automation systems (BAS), fire/life safety, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) infrastructure.

What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate engineering operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution of projects
- Support the Director of Facilities in managing site infrastructure, maintenance, and capital improvement projects
- Manage landscaping contractors on engineering-related projects, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
- Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to align project goals, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards
- Manage and maintain the work order system, ensuring timely response, tracking, and resolution of service requests
- Update and maintain various reports related to operations, maintenance, project status, and performance metrics

- experience within refineries and engineering preferred
- a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments
- technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape, and energy management
- demonstrated business and financial acumen
- exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills
- strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
